24 Gauge Steel Panel Construction: The Steel Raised Panel model garage door is 2" thick and constructed with full 24 gauge steel (.022 thickness).
Resilient Finish: The steel is rust-proofed with hot-dipped galvanizing, then pre-painted on both sides with an epoxy primer. A second coat of polyester finish is then baked on to the exterior surface.
10 Year Limited Warranty: Backed by General Doors—a company that has been building quality garage doors for the professional installer since 1947.
Tog-L-Lock™ Fastening System: Provides strength to joints without burning or piercing the metal.
Weather-Tight: A resilient, vinyl weather strip is attached to the door bottom with an aluminum retainer to minimize air infiltration.

For A Stronger, More Dent-Resistant Door, Check the Gauge

General Doors' 24 gauge steel is 17% thicker than 25 gauge steel, and 31% thicker than 26 gauge steel. The thicker gauge means your door will look better longer.

Optional insulation

Our factory installed 1½" thick polystyrene insulation, with a calculated R-value of 6.66, increases energy efficiency while reducing noise levels. A rigid, white vinyl backing covers and protects the insulation and provides an attractive finish for the inside of the door.

Top Quality Hardware

Heavy-duty track with a unique elliptical curve reduces the force necessary to roll the door along the track making opening and closing easier and smoother.

Full leaf, heavy gauge hinges offer superior strength and years of trouble-free operation.

Full-width steel lock bars and a 5-pin cylinder lock assure security by holding the door closed on both sides.
